Description of Position:
BlueRock Therapeutics is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our immunology team in Cambridge, MA. Reporting to the scientist leading programs for iPS differentiation into hematopoietic lineages, this individual will have various responsibilities for hands-on lab work in the field of iPSC and immune cell technologies. This is an exciting and highly-visible opportunity to contribute to bringing a new class of cellular therapies to patients using our unique CELL+GENE platform.
Independently develop cell-based assays and molecular tools to advance our immunology programs
Execute in vitro experiments to characterize and cultivate T-cells
Assessment and analysis of T-cells and function by multicolor flow cytometry, ELISA, gene expression analysis, and other cell and molecular techniques
Perform immune cell function and phenotypic assays (proliferation, differentiation, and exhaustion assays)
Responsible for designing studies, executing experiments, generating and collecting data, and communicating the results effectively
Document experimental data in electronic laboratory notebooks in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the company quality management system
Attend and present data at lab meetings
BS or MS in Immunology, cellular biology, molecular biology, immunology or related discipline with 5+ years of industry experience
Hands-on experience with iPSCs and/or CRISPR/Cas9
Hands-on expertise with T cell culture, immune cell functional assays, with experience in primary human immune cell co-culture, immune cell differentiation, and/or flow cytometry cell phenotyping
Proven ability to work independently on assigned projects within a cross-functional team across multiple locations
Effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Motivation to build a culture of innovation with aspirations to develop products that will change the lives of people with serious diseases, their families, and society
