Loyal is hiring a Head of People. We are looking for the right leader to build our people team, philosophy, and practices from the foundation up. You will work closely with our CEO and leadership team to build a consistent experience for all candidates and team members. You’ll join our Operations team, responsible for leading recruiting, onboarding, team member engagement, and HR compliance operations. You will be a key leader in maintaining the strong Loyal culture as we scale. You will initially report to our CEO and will work with team members across the company.
While you will be ultimately responsible for building and leading people operations, you will have ample opportunity to work with, learn from, and influence other functions in the company.
Your work may include:
Being someone for our team learns to trust and come to with their issues and learnings
Helping new managers scale their skills
Maintaining strong team engagement (e.g. surveys, continuous feedback loops, etc.)
Ensuring we are up to date with all required HR compliance. potentially by leading yourself or by managing a contractor
Helping design and run our recruiting, onboarding, people engagement, HR compliance, and off-boarding processes
Managing and building out our company benefits program
Your background:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
It would be great if you had previous experience building people-related processes and best practices from the ground up

Logistics
Loyal is hybrid - approximately 50/50 remote and SF-based. We have a soft preference for a Bay Area-based hire
You’ll have full coverage health/dental/vision.
There’s also a monthly education allowance for books and self-improvement.
