Cambrian Biopharma is seeking a tenacious, innovative, and experienced Senior Recruiter to redefine the way we recruit for our talent as we continue to grow here at Cambrian. This newly created role is an incredible opportunity to be an integral part of the talent engine fueling a high-growth organization which is redefining medicine in the 21st century. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture and in partnership with our broader Cambrian team, this role will be responsible for defining and executing the talent acquisition strategy for a variety of prioritized roles. With plans to double in size over the next year, this Senior Recruiter will be tasked with scoping and identifying the necessary resources to support this growth, partnering with business leads to understand the nuances of successfully recruiting for their needs, and finding innovative and creative ways to attract top caliber talent to join our fast-paced, performance driven team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how to recruit in the life sciences, coupled with a relentless drive to find and connect with the best talent. They will have experience sourcing and closing candidates ranging from entry level to senior management positions, always ensuring to only bring the best and brightest forward in their recruiting efforts. They will be excited by the opportunity to build and lead a best-in-class recruiting function for a high impact, high growth organization. Ideally, this position will be based in the NYC metropolitan or greater Boston area.
Define and reinforce a consistent recruiting process that results in a best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experience. This includes hiring manager intake/kick-off sessions, interview team prep/debrief sessions, and use of behavior-based interviewing skills and assigned competencies
Own full cycle recruiting with ability to flex into technical requirements and a keen interest in building teams in the life sciences
In partnership with Director of People & Culture, build a holistic recruiting strategy to support the exponential growth of the company including tailored recruiting strategies based on specific business units, building a strong talent pipeline for future hires, and identifying ways to appeal to the competitive talent market
Builds critical cross-functional partnerships across human resources, finance, and others to scale hiring across Cambrian
Develops and implement search strategy, ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against set criteria
Makes appropriate offer recommendations and execute on a closing approach
Monitors competitive intelligence and trends for design creative and proactive sourcing strategies
Network with biotech community to stay abreast of talent trends and strategies and constantly push Cambrian to enforce a best-in-class recruiting program
Maintain and monitor all recruitment data through ATS system and leverage this data to report on recruiting program to Director of People & Culture and executive leadership
Provide recruiting support and guidance to Cambrian pipeline companies
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a biotech or pharma. Degree in the sciences and/or advanced degree preferred.
Experience partnering with hiring teams throughout the recruiting process, acting as an effective hiring partner and trusted advisor
Ability to operate well at a high velocity and provide clarity to ambiguous situations
Experience sourcing and closing candidates ranging from entry level to senior management positions
