Key Responsibilities
- Hire, lead and develop talented DevOps engineers responsible for building and managing hybrid cloud systems.
- Lead team to evaluate, engineer, develop and test automation solutions, and promote the value of automation.
- Build and maintain secure cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, and cloud-ready application architectures
- Design solutions to leverage CI/CD Pipelines for fast, reliable, and consistent deployments.
- Provide strategy to engineer existing and new solutions for operational efficiency using automation tools enhancing productivity and reducing cost.
- Manage the integration and deployment of new software solutions to support internal teams, including code reviews, testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
- Evaluating and recommending product selection, gaining approval, and developing implementation strategies for new technologies while meeting the organizational goals of security, reliability, and performance.
- Understand, drive, and secure services and applications across both cloud and on-premises environments and act as mentor for other team members
- Build best practices and foundations for Logging, Monitoring, and Dashboarding for health insights into our entire architecture
- Participate in incident management to resolve outages and communicate with both internal and customer audiences as well as participating in calls to resolve outages.
- Manage entitlement reviews and implement cyber security/audit controls for release automation tools
- Lead, inspire, coach, and mentor the team of developers and engineers while growing their technical skills.
- Develop and maintain a culture of innovation and operational efficiency in the team.
- Foster cross-functional team collaboration to ensure engineered solutions meet availability, performance, resiliency, security, and operational efficiency criteria.
- Champion an inclusive and diverse global mindset to attract a diverse talent pool that includes effective coaching and development.
- Establish strong relationships with internal partners and peer stakeholders to understand and meet their needs and operate existing systems at a high quality.
- Lead technical discussions with senior executives that drive decisions and implementations
Required Skills
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and management, using systems like: Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, AWS CloudFormation, etc.
- Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure and automation.
- Experience building services in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container based environments that can handle scale from small to very large / enterprise
- Strong programming and scripting fundamentals (PHP, Python, Go, JavaScript, Shell)
- Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based and hybrid system architectures
- DevOps CI/CD Tools such as CloudBees Jenkins, CloudBees CD, Ansible, GitLab, SonarQube, Twistlock, CheckMarx, Artifactory
- Experience with Integrated Solution Testing, Automated Performance and Regression/Functional Testing
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building PaaS and IaaS solutions
- 3+ more years of people management experience leading system development teams.
- Experience with Linux / UNIX

- Flexibility, ability to think on your feet, and strong problem solving skills
- Demonstrated track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results
- 2+ years previous experience implementing and configuring products and technology to solve customer problems
- Strong problem solving skills – ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action with sustainable solution
- Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management
- AWS or similar Cloud Certification
- Agile Software Development and Practices
