    Alkahest

    Description

Uniquely positioned to enhance quality of life in aging, at Alkahest, we are pioneering science that is rapidly being translated to the clinic. Our approaches utilize in vivo, in vitro, proteomic, and molecular techniques to identify new therapeutics and apply them to patients.

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Scientist who will be key in establishing and executing in vivo studies to advance multiple programs in our therapeutic pipeline. The position focus is primarily on peripheral nerve injury models.  The scientist will be responsible for designing in vivo experiments and developing novel assays including behavioral, histological, and biochemical endpoints to test candidate target pathways. The scientist will lead and hire a team of motivated research associates in carrying out the projects. The role is critical in driving the scientific team in advancing our therapeutic understandings, and will involve establishing, validating, and implementing methodologies in the lab. The role requires dedication, flexibility, drive, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and organization, and interaction with a team of scientists and research associates to drive multiple projects in parallel.
