Position description:
Calico is seeking an experienced computational biologist interested in studying large human populations to derive insights into human aging. In this role, you will work with observational data from large human biobanks to identify and characterize biological processes that underlie age-dependent physiological decline and related pathologies. You will integrate insights from genetics, biochemistry, physiology, and clinical diagnoses to uncover causal relationships and develop hypotheses that will lead to experimental validation. You will be expected to perform independent research and join collaborative projects led by a vibrant community of human epidemiologists, systems physiologists, and geneticists. You will be encouraged to actively participate in defining the scientific direction of the group by proposing novel research directions, strategic investments, and partnerships.
