    Company
    Loyal

    Description

Loyal is a seed stage company developing drugs to help dogs live longer, healthier lives. We see aging as a disease that is able to be slowed and improved with medicines. Loyal was spun out of Laura Deming’s The Longevity Fund and is well funded by top venture capitalists and angels.

Loyal is hiring a (Veterinary) Clinical Operations Associate. You’ll join our small but rapidly growing Clinical team to help execute all aspects of clinical study coordination, training and monitoring in the veterinary/animal health space. You’ll help team leads across specialties- from development to legal and finance- to manage relationships with study personnel and to execute on protocols required to carry out scientifically rigorous veterinary clinical studies in compliance with regulatory guidelines. This role is for someone who understands the veterinary clinical setting, is detail-minded, meticulous, organized, and diligent, and would enjoy the dynamic, collaborative, and high growth environment of a mission driven startup.

Loyal is an early stage company, which means there are no stringent hierarchies, silos or bureaucracy. While you will be ultimately responsible for executing key research projects, you will have ample opportunity for growth in line with your personal and professional goals, and to work with, learn from, and influence many aspects of the company.

Loyal is founded and led by a first-gen, female CEO – we encourage and look forward to diverse applicants.

You will work with the Clinical team to:

    • Be the face of Clinical Operations at Study Sites, creating and maintaining critical relationships with veterinary teams

    • Support all aspects of the clinical study from start-up tasks to completion

    • Contribute feedback to the study protocol

    • Design study-specific paper and electronic data capture (EDC) case report forms (CRF)

    • Continually develop and adapt Clinical Operations templates and processes

    • Collaborate with Clinical Data Management to build the EDC system for the study

    • Recruit Study Sites and ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements and Clinical Trial Agreements are executed

    • Create study training materials and train Study Personnel and Investigators

    • Serve as main point of contact between the Sponsor and Study Sites during implementation and execution of clinical studies

    • Monitor, correct, and maintain study data in real time and in accordance with GCP regulations

    • Responsible for test article documentation and drug reconciliation at Study Sites

    • Perform monitoring visits at Study Sites and document findings on monitoring reports

    • Execute non-traditional study designs

    • Identify and anticipate challenges in non-traditional clinical study designs and propose solutions to mitigate challenges when possible

    • Support clinical study logistics and details on timeline and budget

    • Advise and update monitoring and data management activities for clinical studies

    • Collaborate and sync with all teams and stakeholders as necessary to ensure timely completion of non-pivotal and pivotal studies

    • Provide updates, reporting and feedback to all project teams on status of clinical studies

You will be responsible for making our clinical studies a success so we can continue to grow Loyal and push forward the biology from in Fido to regulatory approval.
