    Company
    Deciduous Therapeutics

Deciduous Therapeutics is an early stage, venture-backed biotech company based in San Francisco, California developing novel therapies to activate the endogenous immune system to treat age related diseases.

We are looking for a highly ambitious and talented in vivo scientist to join our team and play a critical role in our research and drug discovery efforts. You will have the opportunity to be an early team member and generate key experimental data in a highly enriching environment. There is significant opportunity to shape your role and advance within the company while learning the ins and outs of both drug development and life as a scientist in a fast-paced start-up. We are a small, hardworking team that is passionate about delivering important medicines that could significantly impact how we age.

    Key Responsibilities and Job Functions

    • Develop and execute in vivo studies in support of lead identification & optimization including PK-TE, PK-PD, and efficacy endpoints
    • Independently lead the pharmacology aspects for 1-2 exploratory projects assessing the interface between our biology and the potential to meet clinically relevant therapeutic endpoints
    • Use common data analysis tools (Excel, Prism, FlowJo) and keep detailed documentation in an electronic lab notebook
    • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure efficient experiment execution; present study results to the research team in weekly lab meetings
    • Manage and mentor junior scientific team members in a collaborative, matrixed environment

    Qualifications and Skills

    • PhD, or similar experience, in relevant discipline (post-doctorate training is preferred)
    • Proven track record developing murine disease models across multiple therapeutic areas
    • Broad expertise with all aspects of in vivo rodent research (dosing routes, anesthesia, surgical procedures, necropsy, tissue processing, etc.)
    • Experience in immune cell profiling and assay development (flow cytometry, ELISA, histology, qPCR)
    • Driven to both learn from, as well as teach, team members
    • The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, energetic, able to adapt to and shape a dynamic environment
    • Eligibility to work in the United States

    Compensation

We offer a competitive salary, stock options, and health benefits. In addition, we provide a monthly activity stipend to cover a gym membership or other hobbies of interest.

Furthermore, we are a company that strongly believes in fostering the intellectual advancement of our team. As such, we will support you in educational opportunities (online courses, seminars, conferences) that intersect with areas of interest for the company.

We value diversity of personal identity, experience, and thought. We will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability status.

To apply, please send your C.V. along with a brief cover letter to careers@deciduoustx.com.
