Research Associate (In Vivo)

Deciduous Therapeutics is an early stage, venture-backed biotech company based in San Francisco, California developing novel therapies that activate the endogenous immune biology responsible for treating age-related diseases.

We are looking for a highly ambitious and talented Research Associate to join our team. You will have the opportunity to be an early team member and generate key experimental data in a highly enriching environment. We are a small, hardworking team that is passionate about delivering important medicines that could significantly impact how we age.

Key Responsibilities and Job Functions

• Perform in vivo studies: animal handling, compound administration, tissue harvest and processing
• Assist with the design, development, and execution of rodent disease models across a range of different indications; execute the down-stream assays to analyze disease progression
• Keep current and detailed records in an electronic laboratory notebook
• Present study results at weekly research group meetings
• Collaborate closely with team members to ensure all projects are executed efficiently
• Purchase reagents, maintain supplies and inventory

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of a B.S. in Biology or a related field
• 2+ years of laboratory experience in an industry or academic setting
• Experience with in vivo murine experiments is highly preferred
• Strong organizational skills are required; a fast learner with a demonstrated track record of perseverance is key
• The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, energetic, able to adapt to and shape a dynamic environment, and eligible to work in the United States
