Manager/Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

Position Description:

Reporting into the Senior Director of FP&A, this newly created Manager/Associate Director position will lead Calico’s annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Key job responsibilities include maintaining our planning tool (Workday Adaptive Planning) and being a Finance business partner to our G&A functions.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
• Manage our planning tool, Workday Adaptive Planning
• Manage preparation of quarterly and annual budget reporting. This will include budget/forecast/actual variance analysis
• Creating a workable/comprehensive Finance calendar
• Be a Finance business partner with the G&A functions, improving visibility into all aspects of finance and decision support. Identify and drive cost efficiencies that improve the bottom line while maintaining desired outcomes. Develop and maintain effective relationships within all levels of the organization
• Work to improve processes for efficiency while ensuring accuracy
• Ad-hoc requests as dictated by business needs
• Gain a comprehensive knowledge of the Company’s operations in order to better support functional initiatives and provide recommendations to business partners

Position Requirements:

• 6+ years of financial planning and analysis experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
• BA/BS required, MBA preferred
• Positive, proactive, and professional attitude
• Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles
• Previous experience with the Workday Adaptive Planning system
• Strong collaborative skills, effectively working with all levels and functions of the organization
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a changing and fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented while being able to see the big picture
• Experience with ERP system, NetSuite preferred but not required
• Must be willing to work onsite at least three days a week

The estimated base salary range for this role is $168,000 - $206,000. Actual pay will be based on a number of factors including experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for two annual cash bonuses.
