Located in Durham, NC, the company develops and manufactures acellular tissues for the treatment of diseases and conditions across a wide range of therapeutic areas. The company’s innovative technology supports tissue repair, reconstruction, and replacement while overcoming limitations in existing standards of care. Initially developing a portfolio of human acellular vessels (HAVs), to target multiple vascular markets including trauma, arteriovenous access for hemodialysis, peripheral arterial disease, and coronary artery bypass grafting. Humacyte is focused on the development of future markets such as pediatric heart surgery, delivery of cellular therapies, and multiple other novel cell and tissue systems.

    We are looking for additional colleagues to continue to build our expanding team.  Candidates will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively as part of the Humacyte organization. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, with solid communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and lead other professionals and peers.

    Position Background:

    We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our growing Marketing team as we prepare for the first of several commercial indication launches with our flagship Human Acellular Vessel (HAV).The Product Manager, Vascular Surgery is accountable for driving the marketing plan development and execution for the HAV’s first FDA approved indication in vascular trauma reconstruction. The Product Manager will analyze the market and translate complex scientific, clinical, healtheconomic, and competitive insights into meaningful and relevant product positioning and messaging to influence surgeons, hospital administrators, and payors.

    Major Accountabilities:

    · Works with business teams and subject matter experts to translate business and marketing objectives into marketing strategies and tactics.

    · Creates marketing content and support materials for product launch and sales support.

    · Established relationships with trauma and vascular surgeons, periodically attends surgical procedures, and conducts market research to gather voice of customer, market, and clinical insights

    Partners with sales team on key initiatives and periodically travels on field rides

    · Collaborates with key stakeholders on forecasting

    · Sets customer targeting positioning, and product / surgical application messaging

    · Represents marketing on cross-functional project teams to advance trauma launch activities

    ·Together with other marketing resources, leads the execution of tactics to increase brand awareness and drive lead generation.

    · Works with subject matter experts and external partners to create, expand and repurpose expert content library, including case studies, white papers, articles, interviews etc.

    · Collaborates with commercial operations to ensure awareness of marketing plans and activities, and gathers input for the development of effective sales tools.

    · Creates and ensures web content accuracy and improves quality on an ongoing basis.

    · Supports marketing-led targeting campaigns, including authoring marketing messages for campaigns.

    · Develops reports and presentations for monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting.

    · Creates sales and customer training materials to support new offering launch.

    · Creates sales materials and delivers sales training

    · Analyzes the Biologics and Trauma business segments, customer, and competitive environment on a continual basis.

    · Provides input into regular competitive and market trend updates.

    · Attends medical conferences to execute marketing activities and gather competitive intelligence and customer insights.

    · Works with available data sources for market analysis, including Global Data

    ·Ensures timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements.

    Qualifications:

    · Bachelor's Degree inMarketing, Marketing Communications or Business Management. MBA desired.

    · Minimum 7+ years of marketing experience in medical device or life sciences within Vascular Surgery highly; vascular trauma a big plus, Acellular Dermal Matrix (ADM) products or other biologic grafts used in surgical applications a big plus.

    · Direct, hands-on product launch experience required · Small company, high-value product proposition experience desirable, biologics experience a plus· Thinks strategically.

    · Quickly identifies and acts on opportunities.

    · Considers the downstream impact.

    · Seeks to understand the why. Focuses on work that matters.

    Travel Requirements- ability to Travel up to 30%
