The Bioinformatics Innovation Hub is a team of computational scientists working across the three institutes of science at San Diego, San Francisco and Cambridge. As a member of the Bioinformatics team based in the SDI Institute of Science, you will lead the development and application of advanced analytics methods to unravel the molecular mechanisms underlying cellular health and reprogramming. In this role, you will work with diverse types of omics data including bulk/scRNA-Seq, bulk/scATAC-Seq, ChIP-seq, PacBio and nanopore sequencing, and MS-based proteomic and metabolomic data.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working on a wide range of interesting problems, be involved in all aspects of a research project and develop robust computational tools and pipelines for data processing and analysis. The successful candidate will demonstrate rigorous scientific thinking, strong work ethic and the ability to work equally well in a team or independently. They will work closely with a cross-disciplinary team including domain knowledge experts, data generation experts and other computational scientists.
