Position description:
Calico is seeking an intern to join our Discovery Data Science team. To succeed, you will need to be an enthusiastic team player, detail-oriented, extremely organized and comfortable working on complex problems. In this position you will build and train neural networks to derive mechanistic insights about DNA sequence regulation. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the Kelley lab on deep representation learning, to better understand how yeast regulate gene expression. Pursuing this question will help us to distinguish the causes and effects of the aging process; separating the regulators driving changes in physiology with age from their consequences.
