Senior/Middle+ ML engineer (UAE)

About the Role

Insilico Medicine, a leading company in artificial intelligence for drug discovery, is expanding its reach into the application of artificial intelligence in non-pharmaceutical chemistry: materials science, chemical processes, catalysis, etc. By working with industrial partners in Saudi Arabia on existing projects in in the field of creating new materials, the company is hiring new employees to solve problems on current projects and develop a new product in the field of using artificial intelligence technologies to solve various problems in materials science.

Reports to

Head of Department

Responsibilities:

• Deep data analysis, searching hidden patterns and correlations
• Adaptation of existing and creation of new predictive classification and regression models in the field of physical and chemical properties of materials and processes
• Common research with the chemical team for the interpretability of the developing models
• Adaptation of existing and creation of new GAN models for predicting new materials, fine-tuning model parameters based on validation results
• Preparation of all interim and final reports and documents in accordance with approved standards
• Mentoring junior team members
• Participation in ML research of the company in various other areas.

General Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in DataScience and ML
• Deep understanding of the architecture of neural networks down to the level of individual nodes (GAN, transformers)
• Python ML (Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc) & DS libraries, SQL, git, ssh, bash, make
• Experience in geometric ML (graphs, point clouds), especially Graph Neural Networks
• Experience in tabular ML and featurization tasks
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Mentoring experience
• Spoken English, experience in creating presentations and writing scientific reports

Optional Requirements:

• Higher education in chemistry
• C++, RDKit, open babel, Docker, AWS, testing systems
• Experience in data analysis and model building in chemistry/computational chemistry/quantum computing/chemo informatics/drug design
