Research Associate II

Herophilus is revolutionizing drug discovery for brain disorders by combining biotechnology, neuroscience, robotics, and machine learning techniques. We use AI-driven phenotypic screening of cerebral organoids to discover novel drugs for complex neurological and psychiatric disorders such as epilepsy, autism, and schizophrenia.

We’re building a world-class high-throughput cell culture, bioassay, and image analysis platform. For this purpose we are seeking a highly motivated and responsible technical research associate to join our team under a full time contract.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will work as a member of a team and carry out the following responsibilities:

• Perform molecular biological assays, such as qPCR, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot and/or Immunofluorescence staining according to Standard Operating Procedures
• Culture mammalian stem cells and iPSCs
• Prepare biological reagents, make buffers, aliquot biological samples, autoclave samples, lab maintenance and cleaning
• Must be available to work shifted schedule including one or both days on the weekend.

Additional responsibilities might also include:

• Supporting data analysis

Education/Skills Experience Required:

• Preferred: B.Sc. in the field of Biological Sciences or equivalent experience as a technician / research associate in the biotech industry
