Initially developing a portfolio of human acellular vessels (HAVs), to target multiple vascular markets including trauma, arteriovenous access for hemodialysis, peripheral arterial disease, and coronary artery bypass grafting. Position Background:
Humacyte is seeking an experienced Scientist I to advance development of pre-clinical products related to cell therapy and regenerative medicine with a particular focus on the treatment of Type I diabetes with a particular focus on the differentiation of stem cells.
The successful candidate will be an essential part of the Discovery & Pipeline team and be responsible for spearheading projects by designing and implementing experimental strategies. The scientist will also be responsible for characterizing and evaluating cell function in vitro and in vivo. Additionally, the scientist will contribute to team efforts to push products from research and development to preclinical modeling and clinical development.
The scientist will work closely with other senior scientists on the Discovery & Pipeline team to ensure the success of the project. This position requires a strong scientific background, exceptional written and oral communication skills, a strong collaborative spirit, adaptability, professionalism, and outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills.
