Present at the beginning of their new subsidiary in the USA, and as such one of the first US based Research team member, you will be contributing to several types of research projects towards Therapeutical Products development.
With the back-up of the company’s Research team located in the HQ in Bordeaux, France, you will be involved in late phase internal R&D projects and early phase external collaborations, which implies that you handle:
Experimental design, short and long-term project planning, experimental execution, interpretation of results, and reporting.
Maintenance of state-of-the art knowledge of relevant stem cell therapy approaches and techniques.
Ability to work in a small team You will share your time between bench work (cell encapsulations, 3D stem cell culture and differentiation, and project specific cellular analysis) and analysis/reporting .
We are looking for Engineering diploma/master'sin biotechnology, bioprocesses, cell ormolecular biology, bioengineering with experience in the industry working in a cGMP environment.
Knowledge, experience and know-how
Human stem cell (ESC or iPSC) cell culture (in 2D and 3D) and differentiation into therapeutics cell lineages related to: neurology, liver, diabetes, cardiac… and characterization of the derived cells.
Mastery of C-STEM encapsulation technology, encapsulation and culture of human stem cell iPSC inside capsules
Experience or expertise in several of the following in vitro assays: flow cytometry, ddPCR , immunoessays, ELISA, PCR
Experience or expertise with bioreactors in an industrial environment.
Experience or expertise in cGMP practices
Expertise on cryopreservation of cell products.
Organized and detailed documentation of experimental work
Interest and ability to work on a diverse set of stemcell therapy-based research topics depending on the companie’s evolving needs, including interest to learn new techniques.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and ability to communicate technical information
Scientific curiosity and ability to get out of one’s skill comfort zone.
Quick learning abilities in a fast-paced research environment.
Ability to speak french with the HQ teams in Bordeaux and translate for the US team would be highly prefered
